We are thrilled to share that our Leland House Embodied Carbon Reduction Challenge submission took home two awards including the People’s Choice Award and a Runners-Up Award! Sponsored by Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and Built Environment Plus, this program has galvanized the initiative to reduce carbon throughout building projects across Massachusetts.

Presented by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs Undersecretary Katherine Antos, projects were judged upon the following criteria: replicability and cost effectiveness, reduction in embodied carbon, and innovativeness.

Other winning entries were led by the following teams:
New Construction Grand Prize: PAYETTE; Major Renovation Grand Prize: Finegold Alexander Architects.

Runners-up prize teams: PCA, Harvard Office for Sustainability, Arrowstreet Inc., CBT Architects, The Green Engineer, Inc., Sasaki, Steven Winter Associates, and Elkus Manfredi Architects.
