Responding to site conditions and shadow studies, we designed two separate additions on different corners of the existing and beloved Golda Meir House. In order to keep the established sense of community for residents and access to the ground floor “village center,” the design is fused into the original building, filling in volumes and adding on as appropriate. Our expansion adds 68 apartments to the existing 199-unit supportive senior community with 57 one-bedroom and 11 two-bedroom units, including 9 units for seniors transitioning to permanent housing.
In addition, as with all 2Life Communities’ senior residential living sites, select and thoughtful interiors create a sense of family and close knit ties. Programmed activities and daily living in the shared amenity spaces further promotes inclusivity among the residents and their visiting friends and families.
