With construction already underway, the Harold and Ronald Brown Family House held an official groundbreaking on September 13th, with remarks from local leaders and U.S. Rep. Joe Kennedy III.
The Brown Family House will provide 62 new units of affordable housing for seniors as well as commercial space and a public pocket park. Located at the heart of Coolidge Corner in Brookline, the new development is linked to adjacent Congregation Kehillath Israel synagogue, both physically and through programming.
This 2Life community is an important part of the Brookline’s efforts to provide affordable housing opportunities for people across the income spectrum. In his remarks, Kennedy praised “the way in which this community has come together to celebrate those [who] have actually built this community to be the place that it is.”
