PCA has pledged to achieve greater heights in sustainability by signing the the AIA 2030 Commitment. The 2030 Commitment is a national framework that provides a structure for tracking projects’ sustainable elements, such as material, water use, and energy use. Signing the commitment means the firm has agreed to be transparent and knowledgeable about the sustainability of our projects, and to track sustainability measures on all projects going forward. In addition, the 2030 commitment provides an organized, secure location to access project sustainability data for architecture firms nationally. Access to this information improves awareness and knowledge of sustainability and allows us to make positive, incremental improvements.
The mission of The AIA 2030 Commitment is to transform the practice of architecture in a way that is holistic, firm-wide, project-based and data-driven, so that the AIA and the participating firms can prioritize energy performance and carbon reductions to move toward carbon neutral buildings, developments and major renovations by 2030.
