Hing in a nutshell

  • I’m from  Hong Kong.

  • Community service  Playing guitar for a local church

  • My earliest design memory  I was inspired by the Hong Kong HSBC Bank by Norman Foster when I was 10.

  • A project I’m proud of  839 Beacon St and 37 North Beacon St

  • A space that has affected me  Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater

  • I’m influenced by  my mother.

  • I’m inspired by  Herman Hertzberger.

  • I’m concerned about  my hometown, Hong Kong.

  • I’m my best self when  I drink.

  • If I could snap my fingers and become an expert in something, I would be  a rock star.

  • The craziest thing I’ve ever done  Chase a thief on a busy street

  • One thing most people don’t know about me  I love all kinds of unsolved mysteries (pyramids, Mayan culture, UFOs...).
