Working closely with Education First (EF) and their building architect Wingårdhs, we created a luminescent space designed for the corporate functions required at different times of day. The interior design celebrates the architecture of the space by embracing its dynamic, angular forms. During the day the space is washed with natural light, casting bold shadows, while at night the stair is subtly illuminated, creating a dramatic centerpiece drawing people to grab a bite at the bar.
We scaled down the tall, grand atrium corner to create a space that was comfortable and welcoming by day and night. Then, we drew this progression of scale throughout the design, which becomes more intimate moving from the bar to the main seating area to a private community table behind the servery. The final result is a distinct corporate café that reflects the expressiveness and warmth of the EF Brand.
